Saadiya Razzaq has earned her MPhil in Economics from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad.†
Before joining SDPI, she would work as Research Economist at Pakistan Institute of Development Economics, Islamabad. She has also worked as HR Consultant with JSI at Health System Strengthening and Policy Unit (HSSPU), and a Financing Specialist with the WHO (HSSPU) where her main task was to provide evidence-based policy advice to the Ministry of Health. Earlier, she has worked with GTZ as Health Economist and developed Pakistanís first ever National Health Accounts. She has also worked with National Health Policy Unit (NHPU funded by TAMA) and UNDP/UNOPS project Center for Research on Poverty Reduction and Income Distribution (CRPRID).
Her specific areas of expertise include health economics, health financing, health system strengthening and institutionalization of health accounts in Pakistan.†
She has conducted a comprehensive qualitative and quantitative research on poverty related issues besides her engagement in monitoring and evaluation activities.†
In addition, she is the visiting faculty at the Health Services Academy, Islamabad; Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad; and PIDE University, Islamabad. †
