Educational Modules in partnership with Minority Rights Group UK.

In order to establish, just and progressive societies, it is paramount for nations to recognize the rights of their citizens irrespective of their religious and ethnic background.

To evolve an emancipated society, free of dogma, suppression and backward tendencies, it is important to practice the pluralistic traditions of South Asia. Individuality and independence is core to democratic traditions of any culture. Right to worship is a very basic human right.

To propagate this very right of an individual, who is supported by the constitution of the country, SDPI in partnership with Minority Rights Group of UK started an awareness-building project. It is imperative for a just society to develop mutual respect amongst its different religious minorities and the majority religious group. In order to achieve this objective of mutual respect, students from the elementary school level onwards should be familiar with myths and stories and the great leaders and saints associated with other then their own religion.

An Advisory Group consisting of members from across the board of the civil society will guide the research staff to develop modules for different academic levels.

The modules will be available to the public as well as private sector institutions to be used at a variety of platforms and by varied segments of the society.

SDPI will set upon massive campaigns, in collaboration with their regional partners, in order to introduce the concept at government as well as non-governmental organizational forums.
To recognize diversity and take pride in it are hallmarks of democracy.
