The overarching theme of this year’s Conference is Sustainable Development in the Times of COVID-19. Read more…       FOOD SECIRITY DASHBOARD: On 4th Nov, SDPI has shared the first prototype of Food Security Dashboard with Dr Moeed Yousaf, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on  National Security and Economic Outreach in the presence of stakeholders, including Ministry of National Food Security and Research. Provincial and district authorities attended the event in person or through zoom. The dashboard will help the government monitor and regulate the supply chain of essential food commodities.

Mandate

Vision

To be a centre of excellence in generating and disseminating research based knowledge to strengthen SDPI’s brand and to remain relevant to our beneficiaries.

Mission

To become a quality training organisation through a high performing team to contribute and for the successful attainment of SDPI’s mission.

Objective

To design, conduct and market at least 20 short training courses (generic, research based and specialized) every year by addressing the needs of potential clients.

In House Capacity Building

In order to build the capacity of SDPI’s young researchers, interns and volunteers as well as other senior staff member, CLD conducted and facilitated workshops on:

  • Recruitment and Selection
  • Adobe Photoshio and Designing
  • Managing Qualitative research with NVIVO
  • Writing Skills for Rapporteurs

The Center has an ongoing, comprehensive evaluation process for its trainings to improve quality and identify if the participants achieved the desired goals. Participants, at the end of each workshop, rate each module and give their candid comments on the content, quality and usefullness of exercises and group work.
The second stage of training evaluation is conducted four months after training through on-job post-training assessment forms. The participants are encouraged to express their views on how the training has helped them in carrying out their jobs
