The primary objective of the Policy Advocacy & Outreach Unit is to translate SDPI’s research into actionable policy dialogue, engagement, and evidence-informed public discourse. The Unit serves as a bridge between research, policymaking, and stakeholder action by advancing policy narratives rooted in empirical analysis and national development priorities.
SDPI undertakes policy advocacy, strategic partnerships, stakeholder convening, and public-interest engagement on critical environmental, economic, governance, and social sector challenges. Its advocacy approach combines research-driven engagement with institutional outreach to influence policy thinking, strengthen reform processes, and foster informed debate at national, regional, and international levels.
A core component of this work is proactive engagement based on SDPI’s research findings. This includes sustained interaction with policymakers, parliamentarians, government institutions, development partners, academia, media, civil society, and the private sector through conferences, policy dialogues, seminars, workshops, and technical consultations.
The Unit also focuses on awareness generation, coalition-building, and stakeholder mobilization to strengthen policy ownership and promote collaborative responses to complex development challenges. Through networking and partnerships, SDPI seeks to enhance the uptake of evidence-based policy solutions and contribute to more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable governance outcomes.
