Introduction:
After assassination of top Iranian commander Qasim Soleimani, who was head of Iran’s Al-Quds force – Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), in a U.S. airstrike near Baghdad’s international airport, the already tension situation in Middle East has become further chaotic. U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo claimed that the assassination was designed to prevent ‘imminent attack’ on US citizens.
In this context of evolving security situation in the Middle East, the SDPI is holding a Special Talk titled “Changing Regional Security and Implications on US- Pakistan Relations” of Prof. Feroz Hassan Khan, Research Professor, Department of National Security Affairs at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.
