The overarching theme of this year’s Conference is Sustainable Development in the Times of COVID-19. Read more…       FOOD SECIRITY DASHBOARD: On 4th Nov, SDPI has shared the first prototype of Food Security Dashboard with Dr Moeed Yousaf, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on  National Security and Economic Outreach in the presence of stakeholders, including Ministry of National Food Security and Research. Provincial and district authorities attended the event in person or through zoom. The dashboard will help the government monitor and regulate the supply chain of essential food commodities.

The appointment of 16th Army Chief is due, upon the retirement of General Raheel Sharif in November. A debate raged in media and political community over the possible extension of the incumbent COAS, raises questions on the current status of civil military relationship. Further, the poor progress on National Action Plan, the growing conflict on rangers operation, in Sindh, and concerns over the failure of intelligence community in mitigating the current wave of terrorism, are some other major areas, where, this fragile relationship is exposed to debate.In this context, the Sustainable Development Policy Institute has organized a seminar on ‘Civil Military Relations: Challenges and Way Forward,’ to promote understanding and develop consensus.
