The overarching theme of this year’s Conference is Sustainable Development in the Times of COVID-19. Read more…       FOOD SECIRITY DASHBOARD: On 4th Nov, SDPI has shared the first prototype of Food Security Dashboard with Dr Moeed Yousaf, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on  National Security and Economic Outreach in the presence of stakeholders, including Ministry of National Food Security and Research. Provincial and district authorities attended the event in person or through zoom. The dashboard will help the government monitor and regulate the supply chain of essential food commodities.

Pakistan is currently in its 18th lending arrangement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The IMF mission for Pakistan completed the first quarterly review of the 39-month arrangement made under the Extended Fund Facility for Pakistan which initiated in July 2019. Being one of the major economic issues, this facility and its review will be determining the way forward and the short-term, medium-term and long-term vision of the government with regards to the economic policy making for Pakistan.
The main observations and recommendations of the IMF mission have to be brought into notice of and discussed with the relevant stakeholders and for this purpose, SDPI has organized the subject conversation by Ms. Teresa Daban Sanchez, IMF’s Resident Representative for Pakistan.
