The overarching theme of this year’s Conference is Sustainable Development in the Times of COVID-19. Read more…       FOOD SECIRITY DASHBOARD: On 4th Nov, SDPI has shared the first prototype of Food Security Dashboard with Dr Moeed Yousaf, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on  National Security and Economic Outreach in the presence of stakeholders, including Ministry of National Food Security and Research. Provincial and district authorities attended the event in person or through zoom. The dashboard will help the government monitor and regulate the supply chain of essential food commodities.

Media Debriefing on Twenty-fifth United Nation’s Conference of the Parties (COP 25) on Climate Change

Introduction:

This year twenty-fifth United Nation (UN) Conference of the Parties (COP 25) on Climate Change held in Madrid, Spain which aimed at forging a new response to the climate crisis. More than 190 nations and blocs, from the US, China and the EU to the smallest island states, were represented. Pakistan’s official delegation led by Advisor to the Prime Minister on Climate Change also actively participated in the climate negotiations. Pakistan highlighted its major contributions and projects to combat climate change including billion tree tsunami, Karachi BRT, Mangroves forest, Clean & Green Pakistan programme, Pakistan’s recharge program, Electric vehicle policy and Ban on single use plastic.
