(Concept Note)
Dr. Fidaa Shehada, in her talk, will provide a Palestinian perspective
on recent political situation in occupied Palestinian territories. She would
focus specifically on expanded occupation, the rivalry between Hamas and Fateh
resulting into division of West Bank and the Gaza Strip, and the influence of
Arab uprisings on political development in Palestine.
Bio: Dr. Fidaa Shehada is a visiting assistant professor at State
University of New York, USA. She received her doctorate from Rutgers University
and her scholarship is about the development sector in Palestine and Arab
region in general.
