The overarching theme of this year’s Conference is Sustainable Development in the Times of COVID-19. Read more…       FOOD SECIRITY DASHBOARD: On 4th Nov, SDPI has shared the first prototype of Food Security Dashboard with Dr Moeed Yousaf, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on  National Security and Economic Outreach in the presence of stakeholders, including Ministry of National Food Security and Research. Provincial and district authorities attended the event in person or through zoom. The dashboard will help the government monitor and regulate the supply chain of essential food commodities.
Public forum on the status and challenges in the Transmission of power

Concept Note:

The public forum will focus on the status and challenges being faced in the transmission of power, how they affect the power sector and their solutions. The panel will comprise of professional from USAID/EPP and GOP representatives. We will provide an overview of what power transmission encompasses and how Pakistan has progressed over the years in developing its transmission infrastructure. We will also cover the option of importing power from Central Asia to help reduce the generation short-fall. The forum will cover the efforts made by USAID for transmission and provide comparison between the USA’s and Pakistan’s transmission system. The session will touch some of the financial challenges that have contributed to the problems we face today.
