The overarching theme of this year’s Conference is Sustainable Development in the Times of COVID-19. Read more…       FOOD SECIRITY DASHBOARD: On 4th Nov, SDPI has shared the first prototype of Food Security Dashboard with Dr Moeed Yousaf, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on  National Security and Economic Outreach in the presence of stakeholders, including Ministry of National Food Security and Research. Provincial and district authorities attended the event in person or through zoom. The dashboard will help the government monitor and regulate the supply chain of essential food commodities.

SDPI Policy Symposium on Taxation and Energy Reforms in Pakistan

Concept
Note:

SDPI is a policy research institute
and the oldest civil society think tank in Pakistan, which produces knowledge
on sustainable development to enhance the capacity of government and private
sector in making informed policy decisions and to engage civil society on
issues of public interest.

SDPI is making an effort to bring together
the civil society organizations, business community, and practitioners of
economic policy to discuss and form a consensus around future demands of
Pakistan’s socio-economic challenges. This discourse will also be communicated
to the various working groups constituted for the Vision 2025 being formulated
at the Planning Commission of Pakistan. SDPI’s research team has also recently
concluded briefing papers on people’s perceptions about economic reforms,
future of taxation regime in Pakistan, and energy sector reforms appraisal. In
order to have a comprehensive discussion on these issues SDPI is organizing a
policy symposium to be held on 29th November 2013 at Marriott Hotel,
Islamabad.
