SDPI is a policy research institute and the oldest civil society think tank in Pakistan, which produces knowledge on sustainable development to enhance the capacity of the government and private sector in making informed policy decisions and to engage civil society on the issues of public interest.
The role of political parties of the country always deemed as highly important in designing and shaping up polices of national importance including the fiscal decisions and budgetary process and priorities. In this context SDPI has decided to consult all major political parties of the country for their budget proposal under a series of consultative sessions to be held separately with the representatives of different political parties to solicit specific stance and recommendations for Federal Budget 2017-18. We have mainstream political parties to present its recommendations as ‘Shadow-Budget.’
Senior politician and former senator Afrasiab Khattak would be key speaker on the occasion. The event will be followed by high-tea at 5 P.M.
