China changing power structure of world, stabilizing force in region: Kaira
ISLAMABAD: Qamar Zaman Kaira, leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)
said China is changing power structure of the world and is acting as a
stabilizing force for the entire region after emerging as a leading
economy because of its constant economic struggle.
Kaira made
these remarks in a debate organized by Sustainable Development Policy
Institute (SDPI) on Monday entitled "changing dynamic power of structure
and role of China".
While talking on the occasion Kaira said that China made itself a developed country through its simple lifestyle and struggle.
First they developed themselves then moved forward to lend a hand to other poor and developing countries, he added.
He
said Pakistan-China friendship has a glorious past as well as a bright
future and would continue to act as a stabilizing force for the entire
region.
China is our time tested friend which supported Pakistan
when other countries refused to help, he said adding it is true that
China is changing power structure of the world.
China is the only
country that developed in a record period due to its constant struggle
and Pakistan should learn from it, he added.
He said China is the
member of G20 and this group is the world’s largest group of leading
economies, representing about two-thirds of the world’s population, 85
per cent of global gross domestic product and over 75 per cent of global
trade.
China had not adopted any aggressive policy and always played a positive role for peace and prosperity in the region, he added.
The
close relations with China always remained a central part of Pakistan’s
foreign policy, and "we are enjoying this relation with national
consensus", Kaira added.
