The overarching theme of this year’s Conference is Sustainable Development in the Times of COVID-19. Read more…       FOOD SECIRITY DASHBOARD: On 4th Nov, SDPI has shared the first prototype of Food Security Dashboard with Dr Moeed Yousaf, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on  National Security and Economic Outreach in the presence of stakeholders, including Ministry of National Food Security and Research. Provincial and district authorities attended the event in person or through zoom. The dashboard will help the government monitor and regulate the supply chain of essential food commodities.

SCHOLARS PAY RICH TRIBUTES TO AHMED SALEEM

Scholars of a Seminars paid rich tribute to Ahmad Saleem for his writings, which are symbols of hope, social change, justice, courage and resistance for the people of Pakistan.

The seminar was arranged by Sustainable Development Policy Institute here to “celebrate of 50 years of Ahmad Saleem’s writings”.

He has written over 200 publications including 95 books, 25 research publications, 10 international publications and many articles in reputed papers. Sharing his views, Dr Abid Qayum Sulehri said Ahmad Saleem voiced the problems and miserable conditions of people from marginalized sections of society in his writings and due to these efforts, he was conferred Presidential Pride of Performance Award.

Shafqat Kakakheil said that Ahmad Salim paid a great impact in the field of social sector through his writings. Ms Humera Ishfaq, Dr Tariq Rehman, Zafarullah Khan and others explored the various aspects of the life and work of the writer. They said that Ahmad Salim is an institute in his personality. He is symbol o f Pakistani Literature and characteristics give his writings beauty and energy.

He spends penned and exclusive life and all the aspects of his personality are remarkable as a teacher, language instructor, archivist, researcher, poet and intellectual.

At the end of Seminar, Director General Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Murtaza Solangi presented a traditional Sindhi Ajrak to Ahmad Salim.
