The overarching theme of this year’s Conference is Sustainable Development in the Times of COVID-19. Read more…       FOOD SECIRITY DASHBOARD: On 4th Nov, SDPI has shared the first prototype of Food Security Dashboard with Dr Moeed Yousaf, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on  National Security and Economic Outreach in the presence of stakeholders, including Ministry of National Food Security and Research. Provincial and district authorities attended the event in person or through zoom. The dashboard will help the government monitor and regulate the supply chain of essential food commodities.

SDPI Marks Silver Jubilee With Firm Resolve For National Development

Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), the leading and one of the top ranked independent think tanks and research institutes marked its 25th anniversary here
islamabad, aug 4 (pakistan point news – 04th aug, 2017 ): sustainable development policy institute (sdpi), the leading and one of the top ranked independent think tanks and research institutes marked its 25th anniversary here on friday. the silver jubilee celebrations clubbed with pakistan’s 70th independence day celebrations, were marked with a firm resolve and commitment to continue contribution for sustainable socio-economic policies in pakistan and to benefit entire region by providing quality research and solutions in diverse developmental issues.
dr. abid qiayum suleri, executive director, sdpi, speaking at the special ceremony said, it was a pride moment for all the sdpi staff, its founding members and the valued professionals who had been associated with the institute in the past for winning global acknowledgment and credence for its work both at national and international level. “we have been and we want to remain part of solution rather than mere criticism and pointing out flaws, especially related to different issues of sustainable development at our national horizon”, dr.
suleri. he said sdpi had always ensured the element of neutrality and the institute was not only being respected by all the quarters involved in national development but its input and contribution was being highly valued and appreciated while forming policies and policy actions. tariq binori, the founding head of sdpi congratulated sdpi staff on reaching at this landmark and said it was his strong belief that the institute would continuously be coming up with quality research in the future as well.
shafqqat kakakhel, former ambassador, ahmad salim, senior researcher and scholar, brig. (r) muhammad yasin, dr. mahmood ahmad khawaja and other senior faculty members of sdpi also shared their views and sentiments on the occasion with the participants and expressed their desire and commitment for producing quality work aiming to betterment of the people. earlier national as well as sdpi’s flags were hoisted amidst the playing of national songs followed by cake-cutting ceremony by sdpi staff.Source:
