SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT POLICY INSTITUTE (SDPI) ORGANIZED A SEMINAR ON MANTOS UNCLE SAM IN HIS TIME AND IN OURS IN ISLAMABAD ON MONDAY
Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) organized a seminar on “Manto’s Uncle Sam in his time and in ours’ in Islamabad on Monday.
Speakers Ahmad Salim‚ a writer; Raza Naeem‚ a lecturer and an analyst Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa focused on life and legacy of legendary short story writer Saadat Hassan Manto.
They pointed out that apart from being a ‘short story writer’‚ Manto had a rich humanistic‚ progressive and anti-imperialistic vision which strongly comes out in works like Letters to Uncle Sam as well as his earliest collections of stories and essays.
