Read more… FOOD SECIRITY DASHBOARD: On 4th Nov, SDPI has shared the first prototype of Food Security Dashboard with Dr Moeed Yousaf, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Security and Economic Outreach in the presence of stakeholders, including Ministry of National Food Security and Research. Provincial and district authorities attended the event in person or through zoom. The dashboard will help the government monitor and regulate the supply chain of essential food commodities.

Introduction:

The Water & Energy Unit at SDPI is the co-opted member of Think Tank on Energy formulated by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in Feb 2013. Since then, the unit has been playing an active role to help address the energy crisis while representing SDPI through this platform. This year, the unit conducted research to present short, medium and long-term strategies to addressthe energy crisis. The findings of the study and policy recommendations were disseminated through media after holding a seminar.
