The Secure Livelihood Research Consortium is a consortium commissioned by DFID to prepare and conduct a research program on livelihoods, economic development, basic services and social protection in conflict-affected areas. During the inception phase, the consortium takes stock of the knowledge base on these topics in seven countries such as Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), South Sudan, Northern Uganda, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Afghanistan and Pakistan. In Pakistan, SDPI carried out the exploratory phase.
The stocktaking exercise consisted of two components for each of the countries.
1): An evidence paper that gathers and qualifies existing literature and reports,
2): A stakeholder consultation.
