Dr Asad Sayeed is currently Director at the Collective of Social Science Research, a research and consulting organisation based in Karachi, Pakistan. He has researched institutional and political economy issues in the areas of labour markets, industrial policy, gender, health, social protection, public finance, conflict and corruption in Pakistan and internationally. He has been associated with various policy related fora with Government of Pakistan, non-governmental and civil society organisations. Dr Sayeed serves on several boards of public and private sector companies, including the Sindh People’s Housing for Flood Affectees (SPHF). He is currently serving as Member from Sindh on the 11th National Finance Commission (NFC). He holds a PhD in Economics from Cambridge University, UK.
