Mr Dawar Hameed is Associate Director at Climate Finance Pakistan, a policy consultancy and venture-building studio focused on green technology, where he works as a climate and public policy consultant. He co-directs the Pakistan Air Quality Initiative, a research and advocacy group on air pollution and smog, and was among the organisers of Pakistan’s nationwide climate strikes. He has trained government officers on climate-sensitive budgeting and climate finance transparency, and represented Pakistani climate civil society at the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28). He was lead author of a Transparency International Pakistan report on strengthening the effectiveness and transparency of Pakistan’s climate governance frameworks.
