Mr Fawad Anwar is Managing Director of Al-Karam Textile Mills (Private) Limited and Chairman of the Pakistan Textile Council, bringing over three decades of experience across the textile, retail, energy and financial services sectors. He has led Al-Karam since 2010, following more than a decade of service on its Board of Directors.

He also serves as a Non-Executive Director and member of the Monetary Policy Committee at the State Bank of Pakistan, Independent Director of Agro Processors & Atmospheric Gases Limited, Chairman of Alkaram Studio and the Fayaz Anwar Foundation, and Director of the Pakistan Retail Council.

Previously, he served as Vice Chairman of BankIslami Pakistan and held directorships and chief executive positions at Lakeside Energy and Adira Capital Holdings. He has also served on the boards of Alfa Beta Capital Markets, TPL Properties and Pakistan Oxygen. Additionally, Alkaram Studio lists him as Chairman of Indus Acres and Farmevo.

His professional interests focus on export competitiveness, industrial policy, innovation and sustainable textile manufacturing. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Temple University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Drexel University, USA.
