Mr Zeeshan Shabbir Rana is a career civil servant with close to two decades of diverse public service, currently serving as Director General, Industries, Prices, Weight & Measures, Government of the Punjab, alongside additional charge as Chief Executive Officer, Punjab Board of Investment & Trade. At the provincial level, he has shaped policy and institutional frameworks in critical sectors, notably during his tenure in the Home Department, where he led policy oversight for prisons and non-custodial systems, including probation and parole, for over six years. His experience spans urban governance and development through senior leadership at the Lahore Development Authority, overseeing complex housing and planning functions, as well as energy sector policy coordination at the provincial level. Earlier assignments in district administration, including roles as Additional District Collector and Assistant Commissioner across Punjab and Sindh, provided extensive grounding in service delivery, revenue administration, and on-ground governance. His expertise spans economic governance, regulatory stewardship, institutional reform, inter-agency coordination, and citizen-centric service delivery.
