Ms Naheed Memon is Chief Executive Officer of Oracle Power, a natural resources and power developer listed on the London Stock Exchange, with significant projects in Pakistan and Australia. She is a Director of her family-owned textile business, Kings Apparel Industries, and serves as an Independent Director of state-owned enterprises in Pakistan’s power sector and of private and public companies in the oil and cement sectors. She has served on the Board of the Privatization Commission of Pakistan and as Adviser to the President of Suriname on investments and special projects. As Chairperson of the Sindh Board of Investment, she played a key role in setting up special economic zones, mobilising China–Pakistan Economic Corridor projects and attracting foreign direct investment across sectors. Earlier, she worked in private banking at Merrill Lynch, managing clients in the Middle East and North Africa. Ms Memon is adjunct faculty in Economics and Strategy at the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, and a Fellow of Birkbeck, University of London. She holds an MBA from Imperial College London, an MSc in Economics from Birkbeck, University of London, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Foundation for Advancement of Science and Technology (FAST), University of Karachi.
