Ms Nimra Nadeem
Assistant, Sustainable Development Conference (SDC) Unit
Ms Nimra Nadeem is a conference and programme coordination professional with an academic background in Anthropology and experience in research support, stakeholder engagement, academic conferences, volunteer management, and institutional communications. She currently serves as an Assistant with the Sustainable Development Conference (SDC) Unit at the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI).
Her professional journey at SDPI began as an intern, followed by her role as a Management Trainee, and has now progressed to her current position within the SDC Unit. In her present role, she contributes to the planning and execution of the annual Sustainable Development Conference, stakeholder engagement, editorial workflow, abstract and paper coordination, reviewer communication, volunteer and rapporteur management, and programme logistics.
With training in Anthropology, Ms Nadeem brings a social science perspective to development practice, with interests in the intersections of knowledge, education, culture, society, institutions, and power. Her academic work is grounded in qualitative and ethnographic inquiry, with broader interests in sustainable development, social inequalities, youth, and the role of social sciences in understanding contemporary development challenges.
Alongside her work at SDPI, she has gained experience in event management, academic outreach, research communication, and multidisciplinary initiatives. She particularly enjoys working at the intersection of research, people, and execution, where ideas move beyond discussion and take shape through meaningful collaboration. Her professional and academic interests reflect a multidisciplinary approach that combines critical social research with practical programme and conference management.
She holds a degree in Anthropology from Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU), Rawalpindi.
