The Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) invites researchers, academics, policymakers, and practitioners to submit original research and policy papers for presentation that contribute theoretical, empirical or policy insights aligned with the panel theme at the 29th Sustainable Development Conference (SDC 2026).

Under the Conference theme, the panel “Rethinking Development Through the Three Es” explores the interconnected roles of Economy, Environment, and Equity in shaping sustainable development pathways amid today's global disruptions. We invite original research and policy papers that examine the intersections of these three dimensions and propose innovative, evidence-based solutions to contemporary development challenges.

Submission Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit an original, unpublished research paper or policy paper focused on the panel theme “Rethinking Development Through the Three Es”.

  • Manuscripts should not exceed 5,000 words, including a 150–200-word abstract, tables, figures, and references.
  • Papers must be submitted in MS Word, using Times New Roman, 12-point font, and 1.5 line spacing.
  • Clearly indicate that the paper is being submitted for the panel "Rethinking Development Through the Three Es".
  • Include the paper title, author(s)' names, institutional affiliations, email addresses, and a brief biographical note (maximum 30 words).
  • References should follow the Harvard referencing style.
  • Papers should present rigorous analysis, draw upon recent evidence, and comply with SDPI's plagiarism policy.
  • All submissions will undergo editorial screening and peer review. Accepted papers will be invited for presentation during the Conference and considered for publication in the SDC Conference Anthology, subject to editorial review.
  • Please note that abstract-only submissions will not be considered. Authors are required to submit the complete paper in MS Word format.
  • Submit your papers to sdc@sdpi.org by 6 August 2026.
     

NOTE: This is a panel-specific Call for Papers for the session "Rethinking Development Through the Three Es". Authors wishing to submit papers to other conference panels are advised to refer to the respective panel write-up to check whether they are accepting paper submissions and submit accordingly.
