Social Sector Development

SDPI believes in inclusive development and improvement in the standard of living of masses. In this regard, it analyses and studies the role of different actors and factors that can influence the sustainability of development in a society. Urbanization due to a gap between "haves and have-nots" (in urban and rural context) is one such factor that burdens the service delivery such as education and health services. Moreover, the awareness level of the masses regarding their rights plays vital role in making the service delivery robust. The overall development in an urban area can be jeopardized in the absence of sustainable town planning and other urbanization policies thus giving rise to development of peri-urban areas. Besides, the private sector can also play a significant role in social and societal development.
