The overarching theme of this year’s Conference is Sustainable Development in the Times of COVID-19. Read more…       FOOD SECIRITY DASHBOARD: On 4th Nov, SDPI has shared the first prototype of Food Security Dashboard with Dr Moeed Yousaf, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on  National Security and Economic Outreach in the presence of stakeholders, including Ministry of National Food Security and Research. Provincial and district authorities attended the event in person or through zoom. The dashboard will help the government monitor and regulate the supply chain of essential food commodities.

Mohammad Yasin

Senior Advisor, SDPI for Capacity Building

Brigadier (Retired) Mohammad Yasin is a chartered Engineer in Electronics and is member of various engineering institutions at home and abroad. He did his BSc (Honours) in War Studies as well as advanced training/education in UK and USA. He was on the faculty of School of Signals (now Military College of Signals) and also worked in National Institute of Electronics for six years. He holds Master’s degree in Political Science. He worked in the Prime Minister’s Committee for Research and Analysis for over two years where he coordinated a number of research projects on district administration, police systems, dispensation of justice, information technology, education, and regional studies.
He got training in Strategic Planning and Management at the York University, Canada. Besides, he attended a USIP-SDPI Training of Trainers on Conflict Resolution and Mediation for Leaders as well as a workshop by Franklin Covey, on Leading at the Speed of Trust.
He has been working with SDPI for the last 26 years where he established Centre for Capacity Building (now Centre for Learning and Development). Currently, he is the Senior Advisor, Capacity Building at the Institute. He coordinates working of the SDPI’s Study Group on Information Technology and Telecommunications.
In addition to working on various research projects, he has written numerous research papers, compiled and edited books on District Administration and Police Systems, Public Interest Litigation and Dispensation of Justice in Pakistan. He has years of teaching and training experience. He has designed and conducted a large number of courses/workshops on management and specialized areas such as: leadership, time management, negotiation skills, team building, effective reading, human resource management, managerial & administrative skills, and communication & presentation skills.
