Ambassador Shafqat Kakakhel has been Chairperson of the Sustainable Development Policy Institute’s (SDPI) Board of Governors since 2009. He previously served as Deputy Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and as Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations, bringing extensive experience in international environmental policy and sustainable development.
