Dr Mahvish Ahmad is an Assistant Professor in Human Rights and Politics and serves as the Co-Director of LSE Human Rights at the Department of Sociology, London School of Economics and Political Science. Before joining LSE, she was an A.W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of the Western Cape. Dr Ahmad’s research explores state violence, militarism, and the intellectual contributions of grassroots movements operating under repression.
