Dr Shafqat Munir Ahmad is the Deputy Executive Director (Policy) at the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI). With over 30 years of experience, he specialises in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), human rights, peacebuilding, climate change, disaster risk reduction, and urban development. His leadership spans numerous projects focused on minority rights, women and children’s rights, Countering Violent Extremism (CVE), and resilient development. Dr Ahmad’s expertise includes research, policy advocacy, grants management, and capacity building, emphasising the intersection of development, humanitarian work, and policy to drive progress in sectors such as education, health, and climate action.
