4th Sustainability Investment Expo Connecting Ideas, Investment and Impact for Resilient Development 3 – 5 November 2026, Islamabad The global development landscape is undergoing a profound transformation as climate crises, resource scarcity, technological disruption, biodiversity loss, demographic shifts and geopolitical uncertainty are redefining how countries pursue economic growth, resilience and sustainable development. Simultaneously, governments are confronted with shrinking fiscal space while the financing gap for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) continues to widen, with the 2030 Agenda remaining largely unfulfilled. Addressing these interconnected issues require moving beyond traditional approaches to development, towards a model that mobilises innovation, private investment, technology, entrepreneurship and strategic partnerships to accelerate implementation at scale. To address urgent issues pertaining to climate resilience, water security, the circular economy, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, biodiversity conservation, waste management, and urban sustainability, cutting-edge technologies, research, green businesses, sustainable business models and community-led solutions are emerging in Pakistan. Nevertheless, these ideas frequently continue to be isolated from financial institutions, investors, legislators and implementation partners who may increase their influence. A forum where ideas are not only presented but also turned into collaborations, investments, and action is necessary to close this gap. Recognising this need, the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) is organising the 4th Sustainability Investment Expo (SIE 2026) under the theme of “Connecting Ideas, Investment and Impact for Resilient Development", to be held from 3 – 5 November 2026 in Islamabad, Pakistan, on the sideilines of the 29th Sustainable Development Conference (SDC). Building on the success of previous editions, SIE has evolved into Pakistan's premier platform for connecting sustainability innovation with investment, policy and implementation. More than a conventional exhibition, the 4th Sustainability Investment Expo is envisioned as a dynamic marketplace where sustainable solutions are showcased, experienced, financed and scaled, fostering partnerships that accelerate their adoption and impact. By bringing together government institutions, development partners, private sector organisations, financial institutions, academia, entrepreneurs, innovators and civil society under one roof, the Expo seeks to foster meaningful collaborations that connect knowledge with capital, innovation with implementation and policy with enterprise. Serving as the commercial engine of the Expo, the Sustainability Investment Marketplace will connect investment-ready projects and technologies with investors, financial institutions, corporate partners, philanthropic organisations and development agencies. Through curated business matchmaking, business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) engagements, exhibitors will have opportunities to secure strategic partnerships, attract investment, identify technology collaborators and explore new markets. The Marketplace aims to transform conversations into collaborations and ideas into implementation. Objectives The Sustainability Investment Expo seeks to:
