Arooj Khalid, Assistant Project Manager at the Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA), is a girls’ education activist. Ms Khalid is a member of the Advisory Council at Science Fuse, and the Board of Directors at Youth Journalism International, a US-based NGO that trains young people around the world on journalism and leadership. Previously, she has represented Pakistan’s education sector on intergovernmental platforms, impacting thousands of children through her work with the Malala Fund, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, International Institute for Educational Planning, United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund, The Citizens Foundation, and the U.S. Department of State. She completed her Master’s in Education Policy from Harvard University and is also a Fulbright Scholar and Acumen and Malala Fund Fellow.
