CALL FOR PAPERS – SDPI’S 28th Sustainable Development Conference (SDC 2025)

The Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) invites full paper submissions for presentation at the 28th Sustainable Development Conference (SDC) to be held from 4 - 7 November 2025 in Islamabad, Pakistan. This Call for Papers is independent of the panel-specific abstract submissions invited for the individual conference sessions.

Sustainable Development in the Emerging World Dis|Order

SDC 2025 will provide a platform for evidence-based dialogue, cross-sector collaboration, and policy engagement on critical issues shaping sustainable development. The Conference will address the interconnected challenges of global instability, climate change, technological disruption, and shrinking multilateral cooperation.

Focus Areas: Submissions are welcome in the following areas, among others:

  • Global economic realignments and South-South cooperation
  • Climate resilience, net-zero transitions, and sustainable finance
  • Geopolitics of sustainability and green trade
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI), education, and the future of work
  • Food and nutrition security in fragile regions
  • Circular economy, inclusive growth, and social protection
  • Regional governance, conflict resilience, and peacebuilding
  • Women’s leadership in sustainability transitions
  • Public-private partnerships (PPPs) and sustainable entrepreneurship
  • Evidence-informed policymaking and institutional innovation

Submission Guidelines: Authors are invited to submit the following by 31st July 2025:

  • Full paper (maximum 5,000 words) in MS Word format and an abstract of no more than 200 words.
  • Sub-theme clearly indicated.
  • Author’s full name and a short biographical note of no more than 30 words.
  • The email subject line should mention the sub-theme.
  • The papers will be reviewed and shortlisted authors will be informed.
  • Original papers that have not been published already are invited in this category.
