Dr. Kashif Majeed Salik

Dr. Kashif Majeed Salik is a Research Fellow at the Sustainable Development Policy Institute in Pakistan. For the past two decades, he has dedicated himself to serving governmental and non-governmental international organisations, focusing on climate change impacts and risk assessments across a range of critical areas. These include food security, water management, infrastructure, migration, urbanisation, coastal ecosystem management, sustainable development, and policy design. Additionally, he specialises in research on climate change, particularly identifying adaptation strategies through climate-smart agricultural technologies, irrigation management, and agro-digitalisation. In his roles as both country and team lead, he prioritises research-policy engagement and integration to mitigate climate change-induced extreme impacts and associated disaster risks. He holds a PhD in human geography from the University of Southampton, UK.
