Dr Asif Ahmad

Dr Asif Ahmad is a food scientist and academic leader with 26 years of experience in advancing food technology, nutrition, and research excellence. As a Professor and former Director at the Institute of Food and Nutritional Sciences, PMAS-Arid Agriculture University, he has led academic reforms, international collaborations, and the accreditation of key degree programmes. A Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellow at Ohio State University and USDA Labs, he is recognised for pioneering sustainable, non-chemical beta-glucan extraction techniques. With over 130 publications and mentorship of more than 80 MS students and 5 PhD scholars, he continues to shape Pakistan’s next generation of food innovators.
