Dr Quratulain Bakhteari is a renowned Pakistani social entrepreneur and community development expert, known for her lifelong work in grassroots education and social reform. Born in a Karachi refugee settlement, she worked on urban slum sanitation and education before leading major girls’ education initiatives in Balochistan. She founded the Institute for Development Studies and Practices (IDSP) in 1998 to empower marginalised youth through community-based learning. She is a Skoll Award winner and Nobel Peace Prize nominee.
