Dr Sofia Khalid is Chairperson and Associate Professor at the Department of Environmental Science, Allama Iqbal Open University, Pakistan, bringing over 24 years of academic and research experience in the field. She previously served as Chairperson and Associate Professor at the Department of Environmental Science, Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi (2001–2022). Her work focuses on environmental management, sustainability education, and interdisciplinary environmental research. She earned her PhD in Environmental Science from Imperial College London, an MPhil in Plant Taxonomy, and an M.Sc. in Biology (Plant Sciences) from Quaid-i-Azam University, Pakistan
