
Dr Tahira Siddique is a food regulatory expert with over 10 years of experience across Pakistan’s public and private sectors, currently serving as Deputy Director (Ops) at the Islamabad Food Authority. She has led major reforms in food safety systems, including drafting key regulations, developing milk and spice adulteration testing kits, and implementing Punjab’s e-licensing initiative. A PhD in Food Technology, she has trained 20,000+ food business operators and represented Pakistan in international capacity-building programmes with the Food and Agriculture Organization, United States Department of Agriculture, and the World Health Organization.
