Maureen Shauket is Chief Operating Officer at URC, a global company dedicated to improving healthcare, social services, and education worldwide. Based in Maryland, she brings nearly two decades of leadership experience with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and affiliated agencies.

Most recently, she served as Senior Deputy Assistant Administrator for USAID’s Bureau for Policy, Planning and Learning (PPL). Earlier, she was Senior Development Advisor at US Africa Command in Germany, where she provided expertise on development, stabilisation, and humanitarian assistance and helped shape the Department of Defense’s strategy for Africa. Her previous USAID assignments included Mission Director in Kosovo and Chief Acquisition Officer in Washington, D.C.

A career member of the Senior Foreign Service with the rank of Career Minister, Ms Shauket was also the first woman to serve as USAID’s Chief Acquisition Officer and Procurement Executive.
