Mikiko Tanaka is Director and Head, Subregional Office for South and South-West Asia Office, UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). She has worked in international development for 30 years in Guyana, Yemen, Timor-Leste, Pakistan, Benin, China and Lao PDR. She has studied rural development management, applied conflict transformation and public policy and management.
