Prof. Dr Nasir Mahmood is a distinguished academic leader with over three decades of expertise in educational leadership, management, teaching, and research. Currently serving as the Vice Chancellor of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), he has played a pivotal role in reshaping the university’s academic direction and advancing its commitment to inclusive, technology-integrated, and quality education. He also holds the additional charge of Rector, Virtual University of Pakistan, further strengthening his role in the digital transformation of higher education in the country. He also chairs the National Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (NACTE).
