Speakers’ Profile

Sahar Basharat

Sahar Basharat currently manages the Executive Director’s Office at the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), where she supports the executive team, coordinates high-level events, and fosters international partnerships. With extensive experience in administration and policy facilitation, she plays a pivotal role in advancing the institute’s mission and initiatives.

Ms Basharat has completed Human Rights Legal Frameworks training by the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan and UNICEF’s PSEA Training of Trainers. She has delivered numerous sessions on safeguarding culture, PSEA policy implementation, and strengthening gender frameworks at both national and provincial levels.
In addition to her professional work, she is also a writer and researcher. Her paper, ‘SDG2 and Zero Hunger Programs: Insights from India and Pakistan,’ was presented at the University Global Coalition SDG2 Zero Hunger International Student Challenge 2023 and later featured in the Compendium of the Sustainable Business Forum, Center for Sustainable Business (CSB), University of Pittsburgh (2024), USA.

She holds an MPhil in Public Policy from Riphah International University, Pakistan
