Sharmeela Rassool is the Deputy Representative Programmes at the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), Pakistan. A Sri Lankan national with extensive UN experience, she previously served as UN Women Representative in Pakistan and held leadership roles with UN Women, United Nations Development Programme, and other UN agencies across South and Southeast Asia. An attorney-at-law, she holds a Doctorate in Law from the University of Colombo.
