Skip Waskin is Chief Executive Officer of International Solutions, where he leads the firm’s strategic planning and business development efforts based in Virginia. A former Senior Foreign Service Officer with over 40 years of experience in international development, he has led US assistance programmes across Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and Eastern Europe.
Most recently, he served as Coordinator for Economic and Development Assistance at the US Embassy in Pakistan and earlier directed a USSD 290 million assistance portfolio in Sindh province focused on education and health. He previously led the U.S. civilian–military response in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake and oversaw a major expansion of US assistance in Afghanistan.
Earlier in his career, he held development leadership roles focusing on economic and infrastructure efforts in Russia, Thailand, Mongolia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and several other countries, as well as on detail to the US House Appropriations Committee. Before joining International Solutions, he was Senior Executive Director for Operations at DevTech Systems, Inc, a consulting firm de-risking investment and strengthening public finance worldwide
