Subathirai Sivakumaran is Chief of Section for the Macroeconomic Policy and Financing for Development Division at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). In this capacity she leads work on macroeconomic policy, structural economic issues and the mobilisation of financing for development across the Asia-Pacific region. Her recent contributions include highlighting the huge gap in sustainable finance for achieving the SDGs in Asia-Pacific, and presenting research and policy advice on how finance, regulation and policy coherence can accelerate climate action and development.
