Concept: Adaptation to changing climate has emerged is the key to successful combat against climate change. However, the issues of attributions are of greater importance when it comes to identify effective adaptation strategies. Based on a household survey, this study, attempts to differentiate adaptation strategies which are a response to changing climate from those which are attributed wrongly because of response inducing problem involved in the construct of survey tools etc. The findings will help design more focused climate change adaptation policy.

Objective:

• To identify adaptation measures and strategies adopted to combat the effects of climate change
• To identify the drivers of and barriers to adaptation and the choice of the particular/alternative adaptation strategy
• To explore whether all the adaptations are a response to climate stimuli?
• To explore the factors affecting the formation of perceptions and that how does variation in perception regarding climate change affects the nature of adaptation strategies.
