Background
The Community Resilience Partnership Programme (CRPP), supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and facilitated by the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), aims to strengthen climate resilience among vulnerable communities in Asia through locally led and socially inclusive approaches.
This study is focused in Sindh to assess how selected climate adaptation interventions contribute to building resilience, particularly for marginalized and at-risk populations. It also emphasizes evaluating the effectiveness of these initiatives in delivering gender-responsive and inclusive outcomes, while also exploring the governance landscape including institutional arrangements, policy frameworks, and financing mechanisms that influence adaptation planning and delivery. A key component of the research is to identify opportunities for aligning local adaptation efforts with existing social protection systems, enabling a more integrated and equitable approach to addressing climate vulnerability in Pakistan.
