Prof. Dr Faisal Mehmood Mirza obtained his doctorate from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. Currently, he is the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Gujrat and is known for his expertise in energy economics. He has published extensive research work with numerous publications in the internationally reputed peer-reviewed journals.

Earlier, he has served as a Central Banker (State Bank of Pakistan) where he honed his expertise in monetary policy and financial regulation and played a vital role in shaping economic strategies and policies. He is also the Editor of Pakistan Journal of Social Issues (PJSI), a publication accredited by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. This position highlights his leadership and commitment to academic discourse in social sciences. Additionally, Dr Mirza has supervised doctoral and graduate theses.

Moreover, he is a valued referee and reviewer for several prestigious journals, including Energy Policy, Energy Economics, and Applied Economics, among others. His comprehensive involvement in academia, as a researcher, educator, editor, and reviewer, firmly establishes him as a key figure in energy economics and social sciences,
