Dr Henri Rueff

Henri is a Leverhulme Trust researcher in the Landscape Dynamics cluster of the School working with Prof. David Thomas, Dr Nick Middleton and Dr Troy Sternberg since December 2011. He completed his doctoral studies (December 2009) at the Faculty of Economics, University of Aix-Marseille, France, on tree plantations and climate change mitigation economics in drylands. In 2009 he joined the Centre for Development and Environment, University of Bern as a researcher investigating the marginalization processes of the Gujar mobile pastoralists in the Hindu Kush Himalaya Mountains of Northern Pakistan. Henri has strong associations with the University of Bern, University of Leeds, University of Peshawar, University of Central Asia, the National University of Mongolia and the Chinese Academy of Science.
