The Centre for Learning and Development (CLD) at SDPI is one of the premier learning centres of high repute, which offers and conducts high-quality training for professionals and leading institutions on the topics of organizational development, grooming future leaders, and emerging trends in sustainable development. The Centre was established to cater to the needs of the young researchers of the Institute and of government departments for their continuing professional.  CLD Provided high quality training to the public, private and NGO sector organizations and individuals to build their capacity and strengthen institutions. The Centre had organized several national-level capacity-building programs for partner institutions, open enrolment, and customized workshops for academic, civil society, and public sector organizations and policy research institutes. The Centre offered a number of international-level workshops to build institutional capacities, building strategies for transforming human resources, applied research, and good governance to improve quality and systems for durable solutions.

CLD, from 1992 till 2023, has conducted more than 1500 workshops for more than 730 public institutions, NGOs, INGOs, Academic Institutions, and UN Organizations on various topics, trained more than 17000 professionals’ including men and women, where the women ratio is above 40 percent. SDPI-CLD has joint learning and development ventures with various national and international partners. The Centre is famous for its research and activity-based participatory learning methodologies. It engages the best international and national resource persons and trainers available in the market to yield high-quality results.

The Centre offers mainly three types of Training learning programs:

• Customized Training
• Training for getting projects funded
• Open enrolment training is often tailored at the individual level

In conclusion, SDPI's unwavering commitment to sustainable development, evidenced through its impactful research, evidence-based policy influence, and community engagement, positions it as an indispensable force in shaping Pakistan's social sector development landscape.
